Haralred is a crisp apple with a tart flavor and firm juicy flesh. A great cooking apple, it is deep red. This variety holds its shape when cooked so is great in pies, but not applesauce.

Haralred's are excellent cooking apples. They are tart, extremely juicy, and firm. They have freckles on their deeply colored red skin and are big reliable producers.

Provide even moisture and water during dry spells for the best fruit size
Fertilize apple trees in early spring, before they flower. Then a second application a month later.
Prune in the winter months when dormant.
